King Rama IX Royal Park, Bangkok

The park spreads over some 200 acres or so, and was inaugurated in 1987 for the 60th birthday of King Rama 1X.

As you would expect in the far Eastern Kingdom of Thailand, the garden is an oasis of tropical plants, set in fine parkland, with flowing flower bedding schemes and still waters of numerous lakes.

The trees are superb, and sparingly - but artistically - planted, to give height for this huge green space in the centre of one of the world's busiest cities.

A truly majestic park in the middle of Bagkok - Thailand.

Well worth a visit when in Bangkok. See also - More about Thailand
